The Honest Company spring launch party had everything going for it. Not only was Jessica Alba going to be there herself, but it was being held at Laduree which I absolutely adore. Its such a feminine and Parisian bistro, making it the perfect venue for a Springtime in Paris launch party.
The company went all out with passed mini desserts and at least four different type of cocktails, both with sparkling water and alcoholic (which made up for the fact that the event started at least 30 minutes after the invitation’s 3PM start time)
Guests were able to create their own beautiful bouquets from a cart full of breathtaking flowers.
And if that isn’t enough for a successful event, my favorite part of the 2 hour event was being drawn by the talented Brooke Hagel Illustrations.
While I didn’t wait in line to get my photo taken with Jessica Alba (its impossible to look even half way good next to this beauty, trust me I tried at the Honest launch party at ABC Kitchen) I did patiently wait for Brooke to sketch me. When it was my turn, Brooke had me strike a pose, which was extra fun as I was already feeling very Sex in the City in my Club Monaco pale pink short feathered skirt, white tee and jean jacket. Then I sat across from Brooke as she worked her magic with the Apple Pencil and iPad (for the very first time using this technique) while simultaneously making conversation with me. I learned that last weekend she worked a Mindy Weiss planned bat-mitzvah (that’s one lucky 13 year old little lady!) and that Kris Jenner now follows her on instagram. (Squeal!)
Disclaimer: While I did attend this launch event and receive a gift bag, as well as a bouquet of flowers and a complimentary sketch, as always, all opinions expressed are 100% my own.
