A disclaimer, I am not a blogger. So Lainie has to cut me some slack on my inaugural blog!
I met Lainie in 2003 when I lived in NYC and we watched the first season of the bachelor together. It was awesome in that it’s such a great show to watch with a good girlfriend.
I’ve moved several times since I left NYC and find myself now in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA. It may sound like a place in a romance novel but in reality it is a really cute beach town about 25 minutes North of San Diego, CA and locals just call it Cardiff. I have been here for almost 3 years and although I miss my family and friends very much, where I am, is a beautiful place to live and I am very blessed. I have a ridiculous amount of sunset pictures. I feel for all of you back east as I can’t remember when there has been so much snow in NY! I sent along a sunset photos to warm up your Tuesday.
Kudos to Sharleen for finally seeing what I think we all have known, he’s not the guy for you. Yes, Juan Pablo is hot and not a surprise they say he’s a good kisser but when Sharleen said she needed a cerebral connection, well that sealed the deal.
Just when I’m searching for an actual quality in him besides that he is hot…they bring in Camilla and show that Juan Pablo is really and truly a doting Dad. I don’t doubt at all that he loves his daughter and that she is the light of his life. I think his relationship with his daughter is the most authentic thing about him. I was a bit surprised he brought Nikki to the recital and felt for her as I cannot imagine that was an easy feeling meeting his daughter with little notice and then to have her Mom there too.
Moving on to the Clare and Nikki drama, there has to be one each season and this is obviously a good one. The silence was deafening when they were waiting for the other girls to come back from wherever they were. I was wondering what the film crew was waiting for, did they think that one of them would explode! I actually was wondering the same thing. And what the heck is up with all of them wearing those super bright colors? Was it just me or did anyone else think that was weird?
I think next week’s home visits are going to be priceless…at least it looks that way from the coming attractions. I am banking on Andi as the favorite yet I think Nikki could also be in the running. I was not surprised Chelsea left tonight, she seemed really young.
That brings me to the other reason I’ve been into the bachelor this season, my 13 year old niece, Julia.
What I really want to see next week is for someone in one of the families to ask Juan Pablo what his job is, specifically what do you do for a living? I recall one episode where they took about 3 minutes to describe it and all I could think of was…what?…what did they said he did?…are you kidding me?
Although I was baffled to read that over 8 million people tune in to watch each week…then again, I’m one of them!
What did you think about last night’s episode?
