I can hardly believe that in one month, my sweet Ian Bian starts FIRST GRADE! That is the big league. I can vividly recall the summer my sister in law was freaking out about my nephew beginning elementary school and he was bar-mitzvahed this spring. Time flies by when you’re a parent watching your children grow up.
I wish it wasn’t already August as summer is truly my favorite season. I’ll take the heat over the cold any day. I do enjoy fall a lot, I just hate knowing that winter is lurking around in the not so distant corner. Back to school shopping is a favorite activity of mine. Hmmm, so is shopping for spring clothes so really I just love shopping but for purposes of this post, let’s focus on back to school shopping.
I am obsessed with graphic tees. Its pretty much guaranteed that’s what Ian is wearing if he’s not in a Ralph Lauren. Scrolling through Instagram, I have found thousands that make me chuckle. This new one from Little Dude n Dudette makes me think of my dad. My sister and I both inherited our love of fashion from our dad who was the best person into he whole wide world to go shopping with. When we’d try on an outfit that he found appropriately fitting, he would deem the outfit “smart.”
If Ian didn’t have his Ralph Lauren backpack, I would snag this Hunter Scuba Backpack in a second for him. Truthfully, I am still tempted to replace last year’s with this because I am in love with it!
But not even at its marked down price tag of $204. Me and my champagne tastes. If only I was royalty!
I wish they came in any other color besides red (which I detest) but kids will eat up House of Posh Tot’s burger & fries slip on sneakers as they “shake it off.”
I adore Charlie & Chomper’s designs which you get to select the color, size and type of shirt (tank, tee or raglan) to put it on.
This is also the last year before Greenlee goes to preschool. In TODAY’S society, most people send their kids to school as young as two but truthfully, I am no where near ready to get rid of my daughter for the day. I think three is even young as kids have their whole life ahead of them to be in school, learning and then working. I am so fortunate to be able to choice to be a stay at home mom, and as such, I get to keep my daughter home with me for that extra year. Although I have tons of responsibilities to juggle, including co-President of Ian’s school’s PTFA and my blog, I want to make this a super fun “Mommy and daughter” year for me and Greens. Greenlee Girl will be bopping around this fall in Liv & NY’s So Street Shredded Leggings which scream Norio/North West.
