I should be finishing Mademoiselle: Coco Chanel & the Pulse of History, but I’m so excited about a slew of new books to curl up with and enjoy doing winter hibernation.
My favorite author Jane Green’s latest book Saving Grace just came out. According to the overview on Amazon, “Powerful and riveting, Jane Green’s Saving Grace will have you on the edge of your seat as you follow Grace on her harrowing journey to rock bottom and back.”
For fans of The Paris Wife and Loving Frank comes Vanessa & her Sister, a captivating novel that offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of Vanessa Bell, her sister Virginia Woolf, and the controversial and popular circle of intellectuals known as the Bloomsbury Group. This book also came out on December 30, 2014.
My other favorite author Kristin Hannah has The Nightingale débuting on February 2. Kristin captures a particular slice of French life during World War II with wonderful details, drama and a story about sisters.
Jennifer Tropea o”Regan (Confessions of a Bookaholic) tipped me off to The Girl on the Train. A psychological thriller, its a departure from what I usually read. It sounds like a page turner. I just hope I personally enjoy it a lot more than Gone Girl.
