We have a walk-in marble shower with a rainhead and a teak bench in the master bathroom which we gut renovated when we bought our apartment 7 years ago when I was pregnant with Ian. On our shelf in this shower, we have Pantene, Fresh Sugar scrub, Gillette and Jack’s razors, rubber shower toys and foam letters. I am emphasizing that we have a variety of high and lowbrow brands. I have used Pantene and mass-market drug store brands all of my life. On the other hand, nothing is too expensive or out of reach when it comes to my children. Ian has been washing his hair with PK Kids (Philip Kingsley). By no means am I trying to sound like a snob. I am simply trying to emphasize that nothing is too good for my darling babies.
Prior to attending the Mom Trend’s bloggers event for Baby ACURE last week, I was unfamiliar with the certified organic brand of skin, hair and body products which are 100% free from animal testing, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, harmful preservatives and artificial colors.
While not even three years old, Greenlee has a head full of thick, wavy hair and we’ve been using L’Occitane Verveine Shampoo and conditioner since we tried it in a hotel over a year ago. So while I love the idea of the 4-in-1 foamer, I doubted it would handle the job for hair that is not kid fine. ACURE’s publicist agreed with me and provided me with a sample of the ACURE Shampoo and conditioner.
Sorry, Pantene, but you just lost me as a loyal customer. I am quite sensitive to fragrances (neither my husband or myself wear perfume/cologne) and was beyond pleasantly surprised when I squeezed out some shampoo to smell something with such a satisfying aroma. It reminds me of something which I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe a pastry or one of my fav David Teas. The triple action repairing shampoo is Moroccan argan stem cell + argan oil. The directions state, “Feel free to belt out some horrible 80s tune that you listen to when nobody’s around.” Clearly, they know me so well. I feel like I found my long-last BFF!
Getting back to the baby line, every mom should have the baby’s day out 3 pack. Next baby shower you’re invited to, include this $15.99 package with the gift. I am keeping a fix-it, SPF 30 sun and bug in my bag at all time for our whole family.
You can buy ACURE at Target, Whole Foods and even Amazon and the entire line retails for under $30. I already ordered a facial soap and exfoliator on Amazon and have my eye on several other ACURE products.
Disclosure: I did receive complimentary products and was compensated to attend this event, but as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
