My instagram feed is chock full of candy-coated milkshake extravaganzas. Here’s some special candy-oriented cocktails created especially for dear old Dad for Father’s Day.
Trevor Landry, beverage director for NL Group, has created the Man Candy Cocktail which is served at Cedar Grove Bar’s brunch beverage menu. Don’t feel left out if you’re not located in Dallas, Texas. We have the recipe below so you can make it for Dad for Father’s Day and all summer long:
1 oz Slow & Low Rock and Rye
1 oz House Brandy
1 oz Mint Infused 1:1 Simple Syrup
Several spritzes (floater) of funky Jamaican rum.
Add mint syrup, slow and low, and brandy, to a rocks glass with crushed ice. Give a quick stir. Top off with additional crushed ice and spritz the top with several sprays of Jamaican rum. Garnish with a healthy sprig of mint. -It a fun twist on the beloved mint julep.
Slow & Low Rock & Rye whiskey is the star of the show with house brandy and Jamaican rum to add to the funky and fun concoction.
Bar Manager Shaun Gillespie (who happens to also be a dad) has created Bourbon S’mores at Candy Apple Café. Located in Jacksonville, Florida, the inside has that whimsical Willy Wonks touch!
