Today is International Friendship Day which seems like the best time to introduce you to the special new picture book, LITTLE ELLIOT, BIG CITY, the first in a three book series about a little elephant looking for friendship and cupcakes in a city a lot bigger than himself. How can you not like a cupcake lover?
I am not exaggerating when I say this new picture book character is absolutely irresistible. What I love most about this book is how simple the reminder is that you will find friends in unlikely places, and often when you’re not expecting it.
It’s geared for children 4-8 years old and will win over the hearts of New York enthusiasts young and old. From the brownstones on the Upper West Side to the Flatiron Building, this is a beautifully illustrated book with great New York City details. The images are seriously frame-worthy. (If only we had wall space in one of the kid’s rooms)
LITTLE ELLIOT, BIG CITY goes on sale August 26. Check out the book trailer here!
Day 3: #BESOCIETY AUGUST CHALLENGE: What would you say to the first person who broke your heart?
And to the first person who break my heart, thank you for paving the way for what unrequited love and heartbreak would feel like later on in life. While I wasn’t aware of it at the time, “that which doesn’t hurt you, makes you stronger.”.
Day 4: What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?
The last thing I searched for on Google was Casa de Campo as a possible destination for our family for spring break 2015. It looked fabulous on The Bachelorette and then a fellow mom recommended it on one of my many Facebook groups as being” family-friendly with a great kid’s club and nanny/baby-sitters.”.
Any Caribbean family-friendly destinations you recommend for April?
