I don’t even know where to begin. How can my sweet baby girl be 4 already? It doesn’t feel like it was over four years ago when I was only four months pregnant and found out I was having a healthy baby girl. You were my fourth pregnancy and after two miscarriages after Ian, my last chance to have the girl I had always dreamed of and yearned for.
You entered this world at 37 weeks to the day on the fourth push. You had strong lungs and a deafening scream as you came into the world.
You have always been extremely independent and strong-willed. You know what you want and aren’t afraid to get it.
Peppa Pig is your BFF. You almost always have a Peppa book in your hand.
If not, you have one of your high top sneakers that you are mesmerized by.
You take your name quite seriously. You are greatly attracted to anything green. You like to pick at plants, blades of grass, grab clumps from bushes. I joke that you can open up a florist shop. You are the only three year old who wants to eat lettuce and other green foods.
You’ve mastered your signature pose as a toddler.
Despite all the pink I deck you and your room out in, you are not such a girly girl…. yet. You are definitely a little mermaid who is drawn to water. You can splash around in the bathtub, shower, swimming pool, sprinkles…. even a puddle (like Peppa) You have mermaid hair.
You’re Daddy’s Girl. You love him to sing to you, tickle you, feed you. You have Daddy wrapped around your little finger. You will be his forever “Girlfriend.”
You’re growing up so incredibly fast. Always stay as inquisitive, determined, persistent, unique and as beautiful on the inside and out as you are. Keep beating to your own drum and don’t ever change. (But learning to enjoy mommy & me manis would be fun!) You’re one of a kind and we love you to infinity.
Four has always been my lucky number since I am born on the 4th. I hope this is a lucky year for you. Four is such a fun and special time.
